2013 AGM, New Executive & Annual Report

On Saturday September 28 Book Links held their AGM and Planning Day.  There were a couple of changes to the Executive Committee which now consists of:

President – Jenny Stubbs

Vice Presidents – Mia Macrossan & Pam Gravenor

Treasurer – Andrew King

Secretary – Denise O’Connor

Assistant Secretary – Denise O’Brien

The Committee planned a spectacular year ahead including Romancing the Stars in February and a possible Author/Illustrator Tour to rural, regional and remote Queensland.

Teams were formed to acquire grants, manage programs and resources, promotion and marketing of Book Links, and working together with Partner Organisations.  If you were not at the Planning Meeting, but would like to assist Book Links in any way, please do not hesitate to get in contact.  We welcome assistance from everyone who has a passion for children’s literature, and we acknowledge the phenomenal range of skill sets our members can bring to the table.

President Jenny Stubbs also presented her annual report which you can read here.  Book Links had quite an exciting year, read on to find out more.

  1. Kudos to you all and welcome to the new members of the Executive. It’s great to see your involvement. I commend you all for the fabulous array of events, marketing attendances, ideas and initiatives you have developed and forged ahead with in recent times. It’s an absolute honor to be part of such a positive, passionate and forward thinking group of people. I look forward to participating in even more with you all in the year to follow. 😀 from ear to ear. Dimity
