ReadUp
ReadUp was a library loyalty scheme for library members aged 8 and under developed by Moreton Bay Region Libraries. Children earned unique certificates created by award winning Queensland children’s book illustrators. ReadUp was made available to public and school libraries through a partnership with Book Links who helped to provide illustrators for the initial certificates. As of June 2024 a redesigned ReadUp program is only available via Moreton Bay Region Libraries.
The first poster designs were created by:
- Katherine Battersby’s illustration featured characters from the Squish Rabbit books, written and illustrated by Katherine.
- Lachlan Creagh used illustrations from his Wombat books to create a certificate.
- Benjamin Johnston featured characters from Engibear’s Dream, written by Andrew King.
- Kate Knapp’s certificate was from Ruby Red Shoes, written and illustrated by Kate
- Lucia Masciullo illustrated characters featured in Queen Alice’s Palaces, written by Juliette MacIver.
