Does ‘a book club for adults who enjoy reading and talking about children’s books’ sound like something you would like to be involved in? Then check out the “Last Tuesday Children’s Book Club.” This is being set up by our vice president, and current QLD CBCA Children’s Book of the Year Judge Mia Macrossan.

Yes. As an adult who enjoys reading and discovering the delights of picture books (especially) possibly more than my 7 yo now, I’d be most intrested in this kind of gathering. Be warned, I may have to participate on from an online, side-line view point though. Keen to know more.

PS, it is very very unlikely that I’d be able to physically make one of these meetings owing to location, time and day but I’m still very interested. It’s a beaut idea to be certain!

Thanks for the positive feedback! We think it is a brilliant idea too.
We realise that some people live too far away to join in at the meetings, so we are setting up a Facebook group to cater to those who can not attend, and for those who do, to share what happened at the meeting.
We will let you know as soon as we set up the group page.

Yipee! That sounds awesome. I’d be in it for sure, although sitting in on a group discussion at the cosy Black Cat Cafe as opposed to staring at my screen, will be hard to pass up 😉 I’ll stay tuned. Dimity
