Our goal is to establish a Children’s Literature centre in Queensland where young people can interact with authors, illustrators and storytellers. We aim to engender a love of literature in Queensland children and young people through our projects and events, such as:
- Annual Lecture in Children’s Literature
- The Travelling Suitcases
- The BIG Draw
- Book Launches
- Workshops and Competitions
- The Big Read (2012)
We support creators of story through events and programs such as
- Write Links – Creating Kids’ Books
- Romancing the Stars
- Book Launches
- Workshops and competitions
Our long-term vision is to have our own building where children will be able to be immersed in visual and written art and interact with the creators.
